Argyle Cottage Garden

Argyle Cottage is one of the remaining historical homes of the Waianiwa area, which is amidst a six acre garden, reflecting its era. The garden is very old world and there is a abundance of spring bulbs, old fashioned and english roses, dahlias, peonies, irises, many perennials, thirty deciduous azaleas, a bluebell dell and many exotic trees and shrubs.

Rambling pathways link the many rooms of the gardens. These include a stumpery, woodland area, a church ruins which was built to depict an old decayed building, a large duck pond, goldfish pond, a historic church which has been lovingly restored. And recently Rose Courtyard has been completed which is a large covered entertainment area with bar facilities. Stonewalls, bridal walk, arches, statues and urns are some of the features.

Argyle Cottage Garden is available for garden tours by appointment, as a wedding and function venue and is capable of meeting all your requirements for any special occasion.
